My experience with John and Bike Buddy has been exceptional!

I contacted him on Monday morning regarding my bike which was desperately in need of TLC. Within an hour and a half John had come to see me at work, instantly fixed one of my bikes issues, advised what else needed fixing and taken it away to repair it. His communication was amazing, checking that I was happy to spend the extra money needed for my unusual sized tyres and advising that because he needed to order the tyres it would take an extra day to sort my bike, which wasn’t a problem.  The following day he called me to advise that my bike was ready a day early and dropped it off to my home for me!  He had also gone the extra mile by finding a bracket for my back light and replacing my bell.

I cannot praise John and his service enough, I will definitely be using Bike Buddy to keep my trusty stead roadworthy in future, thank you!

John not only did a ’24 hr’ fix for an aggravating Bottom Bracket issue on my race bike, it was also returned with an unexpected degrease/ clean of Chain/cassette and a ‘once over’ on my brakes too – Nice knowledgable guy and can highly recommended

Having had the local bicycle shop close down and finding myself being ill prepared (it’s a long story, I won’t bore you)  for a puncture mid week on a bike I rely on to get me to work and generally everywhere from A-Z I desperately racked my brain as to what I could do so I did a quick search for bike maintenance and found John, so glad I did, rang him, he came round that evening and replaced the inner tube for a reasonable price too, no hassle, no fuss,  a genuine human being, saved my bacon, good to have him around, thanks again John!

I had John do a frame swap and bike build and I am really please with his advice and great service. I would highly recommend him and I will use his expertise in future.

Had a double puncture (the 2nd one a pinch due to my incompetent tyre change!) on Ginger Hill at Pyecombe but was fortunate to have John stop and come to my rescue!He generously gave me his spare tube,fitted my tyre and pumped it up.Can’t thank him enough and would not hesitate to recommend him.Thanks for the help it was very much appreciated.

A month ago today, I had an bike accident on the A24, in which I was knocked unconscious, suffered facial injuries and broke my hand. Whilst recovering on the roadside, John and his brother were cycling by and came to my assistance, by recovering my bike and taking it home whilst I waited for the ambulance.

John, thank you very much for coming to my assistance,  and storing my bike until I was well enough to collect it.

Thanks for your help at Stan’s bike shack last week when I came in with a damaged rear tyre, I got home safely, and the replacement tyre was a big improvement on the original.

I would like to thank John at Bike Buddy for the work he did on my Canyon road bike. This was the second time I have used Bike Buddy and on both occasions I have been delighted with the work that was carried out. I am of the opinion that John provides a far more personalised service than you receive from many bike shops in the area. He took the time to talk me through all the work that had been completed and even gave me some useful tips on how to maintain certain aspects of my bike. I left with my bike looking as good as new and riding beautifully. I will be recommending John to my cycling friends and will definitely be back in the future. Thanks again. Andy

This was the first time I have used John’s services and I have been delighted. I gave John quite an unusual challenge in that I had converted my mountain bike into a high power e-Bike, but had some snags that I was unable to resolve and needed help. John was brilliant; exceptional customer service and great updates along the way. John was able to resolve my rear wheel alignment, and brake disc alignment, reposition and re-span my levers, check and adjust my gear mechs (front and rear) and also fit new higher gearing better matched to the bikes cruising speed. The bike now rides fantastically! I have never used a bike mechanic before, but now I consider Bike Buddy to to be my go-to place. Thank you!
